Jay and Nicole were married on July 4, 2008 and they had so much fun that they did it again on July 5, 2008 lol!

But seriously, Jay's family is from India, so on July 4th they honored his heritage with a Hindu ceremony and on July 5th they celebrated a traditional Catholic ceremony.

I had the pleasure of spending three days with Jay, Nicole and there wonderful families, starting with the rehearsal and dinner on Thursday. I don't normally go to the rehearsal but they were having a Mehndi Artist and I wasn't going to miss that! I even had it done myself.

The Mehndi ceremony is a marriage custom celebrated by the brides family where a Mehndi artist paints intricate designs on the hands and feet of the bride and also the hands of her female friends and family.

The ritual signifies the power and strength of love in the marriage, so it is a good omen if the bride keeps it as long as possible.

Peacocks and paisleys are traditional bridal patterns because they are symbolic of passion. It is also believed that the deeper and darker the henna stains, the more the mother-in-law will love the daughter-in-law and the marriage will be a happy one. slideshow0007

I don't think Nicole will have to worry about that!slideshow0004

They served Indian food, I don't know what any of it was called, but it was very good!

Jay and Nicole went to India recently and brought back these beautiful silk sari's for the ceremony. Even though there are no bridesmaids in the Hindu ceremony, they brought back sari's for the bridesmaids in the Catholic ceremony to ware at the Hindu ceremony.

Later that evening they had a small reception at                           The Football Hall of Fame, everyone dressed in their favorite team jersey. We had a few hours in between so I had time to make a slide show for them as a surprise. And to my surprise, the Football Hall of Fame let me put it up on the big screen!  It was so cool to see all the pictures bigger then life!

The reception was at the McKinley Grand Hotel so it seemed logical to use the Grand Piano in this not so traditional bridal party picture.

My first wedding this year was with Eric and Jessica. They were married in Cleveland on March 15, 2008 at very simple ceremony. It was just the two of them with no bridal party at all.  They had a casino theme complete with blackjack tables and slot machines!

Paul and Courtney were married on June 21, 2008!

There is just something about a military wedding! We had so much fun! The weather did not want to cooperate with us, we had big plans to go down to the riverfront in Cuyahoga falls and do some fun pictures and just when it was time to go the sky opened up and rained buckets! What can you do? LOL

Joe and Tiffany

Joe and Tiffany were married on May 9, 2008chrien1187

We started the day at the golf course with the guys, I love to drive the golf carts! They had to split into three different groups while they were on the course, so Ryan and I got to drive back and forth to the different groups, so fun! I don't know that much about golf but Joe and his groomsmen were having a great time. chrien0358  chrien0379

After the golf course, I went to Tiffany's house for the getting ready pictures. Tiffany's nieces and nephew where there getting ready, they are so cute!

Ryan and Melissa's Engagement Pictures

IMG_5394

Ryan and Melissa are getting married this August, I'm really looking forward to it, we had so much fun with the engagement pictures.

We went to Mullarkey's, the bar where Ryan works and also where he and Melissa met. It's a really cool Irish pub in downtown  Willoughby, the owner was nice enough to let us come in and take some pictures before the bar opened. We also walked around town a little, and even played on the swings for a while.
